Bathroom Season

During the summer, the demand for bathroom works skyrockets. We refer to this as ‘Bathroom Season’.

Our team at Kyle R. C. Perry Heating & Plumbing Ltd have been incredibly busy lately, completing a number of bathroom work jobs, including a full bathroom renovation in Great Wakering, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

We communicated with our customers to discuss their needs, and carefully designed their new bathroom, making much better use of the space they had. From decommissioning the old bathroom, to the final finishing touches of the new bathroom, we done it all.

We, at Kyle R. C. Perry Heating & Plumbing Ltd, take a lot of pride in not only our work, but the way we work. We ensured that clean dust sheets were adequately laid down, and an effort to clean and clear up after every day was made. We kept our customers informed throughout the entire process and carefully explained options they had. Our lovely customers also done a wonderful job at looking after us with all the tea and biscuits they provided, it was greatly appreciated during all the hard work in the hot weather!

Please see some before and after photos of the bathroom renovation below.

Here, at Kyle R. C. Perry Heating & Plumbing Ltd, we are committed to helping not only our customers, but all individuals in energy saving tips, and other examples of preventing expensive repair bills within the plumbing and heating industry. During this post, we’d like to explain a couple of useful tips which will help prevent blockages in waste pipes. Waste pipes can accumulate a build up of deposits, which can cause blockages. A good way to prevent these build ups from occurring, is to allow your bath and/or basin, to fill up to the top, and then pull and remove the plug. The plug being removed will allow a higher flow of the water through the waste pipes thus washing away any deposits as it flows. Leaving the plug still in place, but open, can offer a level of resistance, preventing a higher flow of water throughout the waste pipes, thus not washing away the deposits as well.

With the summer coming to an end, I’m sure a lot of us have all been on a summer holiday. We, at Kyle R. C. Perry Heating & Plumbing Ltd, wish to share some useful and important tips to consider upon your return from holiday. Whilst away on holiday, the water in our hot and cold water systems will be sitting still for the duration inside pipes, tanks in the loft, hot water cylinders, boilers, taps, showers, toilets etc. The water can go stagnant if not flushed out upon your return. In some cases, especially if the weather has been hot, bacteria can breed in the water leading to legionnaires disease. This is most commonly found in taps, showers, and toilet cisterns. Upon your return from holiday, before you use the water, it’s advisable to flush it through first. This is as simple as running the taps, showers, and flushing the toilets for a period of time prior to use. This simple tip can prevent some nasty illnesses.
